Today we had a Club Assembly to discuss upcoming activities and programs.

Club Announcements

1) Marilyn presented a check to David Feeser for our grant to the Salvation Army.

2) Dues are due.  Please pay promptly.

3) Brisket Sale will occur over Father's Day. 

4) Installation will be Monday June 8th at Saltgrass (Barker Cypress @ 290), beginning at 6:30 PM.  Alan will send out more information as we get closer.

5) Colleen is looking for volunteers for the Fundraiser Committee.  She will be contacting club members who have previously helped.  The fundraiser will be held in late October.

6) No regular club meeting for June 8th.  Our meeting will be the Installation Ceremony that evening.

7) The club is looking for volunteers to Golf at the May 14th Cy-Fair Educational Foundation Golf Tournament.  We have four spots to fill.

8) Rotary Night at the Astros is Saturday, May 30th.  The cost is $20 per ticket.  The game is at 3:10 in the afternoon. 

9) The club Foundation has donated $1,000 working in conjunction with Bear Creek - Copperfield for an International project in Mexico.

10) Rotary Club Leadership Training (formerly District Assembly) is May 9th at the HCC Southwest Campus, (59 and 610).  The training is from 8 AM to 12 noon.  Registration is online at the District 5890 web site.

11) No meeting an May 25th (Memorial Day).

Good News

1) Virginia Carlton - Virginia received her Concealed Handgun License.

2) Keith Peterson - Congratulations to Marilyn on being recognized for 30 years of service on the Finance Committee at Christ the Redeemer.

3) Mike Flowers - All members of the club are invited to a party that Mike is throwing on May 16th, to celebrate his 100-lb weight loss.  Address is 14902 Cypress Waters Drive, 77429.

4) Alan Brevard - Survived the District Conference.

5) Andrew Walker - Andrew and family moved into a new house near Katy recently.

6) Mike Reiland survived storms at both his business and at the ranch.  High winds twisted trees at his property.

7) Marilyn Farrell - Our club received the Small Club of the Year Award at District Conference.
