Speaker

Today our speaker was Texas Senator, Glenn Hegar. Senator Hegar spoke to us about his background as well as current items in the session.

Club Announcements

1) Our District Governor visit is on September 30th.

2) Trash Pick Up is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th at 8:00am in front of Cy-Falls High School on Huffmeister.

3) Please complete and return your Membership Questionnaire.

4) The Board has approved Chris Pantuso's membership.

5) Please put on your calendar the Fall Fundraiser on Saturday, November 16th at the SPJST Hall.

Good News

1) Gwen Durrenberger - Last Monday after Rotary Charlie had to be admitted to the hospital, but was released last Thursday.

2) Marianne Beran-Terrell - Happy to have her friend David with Sysco attend the meeting.

3) Rick Stephanow - Had a relative pass away this week at the age of 103! She passed away peacefully in her own bed in her own house and still had her wits about her.

4) Mike Castro - Attended the Rotary District Membership Seminar and it covered a lot of good issues, but learned the most from the informal chit-chat.

5) Keith Peterson - His wife lost her diamond from her ring and tore apart a chair at home only to find it in the hallway at school the next day.
