Speakers
The speakers were Ozgur Ozer, Zekeriya Yuksel and Julie Norton from Harmony Public Schools. They spoke to the club about the specialized public school and all the different locations. The school started in 2000 with about 200 students and has grown to over 20,000 students with an additional 30,000 on a waiting list. They are one of the top academically recognized schools in the country. http://harmonytx.org/
Club Announcements
1) Sign up for district conference in the Hill Country, April 18th - 21st. Early sign up offers a $20 discount and a blinking pin while supplies last.
2) Our new exchange student from Italy arrives next Monday.
3) Tickets for the fund raiser will be available next week.
4) Justin Jenkins was presented an award that was given at the Membership Seminar for being one of only four clubs with the highest membership retention rate last year.
5) This Friday is CAM, please plan to attend and help out at 5:00pm.
6) Board Meeting is this Thursday at Keith Peterson's office starting at 5:30pm.
Good News
1) Rick Stephanow - . The PTSD Foundation won a new car this weekend. Toyota's got a program called "100 cars in 100 days." Saturday, we won day #89!
2) Alan Brevard - Spent a week in Branson and loved the Ozark mountains.
3) Justin Jenkins- Football is back.
4) Virginia Carlton - back from her 2 week cruise from the Baltic.
5) Lloyd Culp - Chandler is leaving their office after working all summer to go back to Baylor.
