August 4th Club Meeting

Speaker

Today our speaker was Roy Wooten from Shield Bearer. Shield Bearer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity and a lead agency in the movement for healthy marriages, families, parenting and communities. The club presented a check to Shield Bearer from the proceeds of our Brisket Fundraiser.

Club Announcements

1) CAM Sack Pack coming up on Friday, August 15th.

2) The club still needs someone to step up and take on the Speaker's Chair.

Good News

1) Andrea Wiley - Andrea has been busy working hard and she is so excited to have a free Monday to have lunch with us.

2) Ray Young - Ray's daughter Kaitlyn has a new job working for a Venture Capital Firm in Waco. The company bought a Medical Billing company in Colorado Springs. They have asked her to be the general manager of this company and will be moving to Colorado Springs.

3) Mike Castro - He has selected the contractor to build their new wine bar and should be completed soon.

4) Gwen Durrenberger - Gwen spent the weekend in Austin with her brother and his wife. They spent the weekend looking at houses.

5) Marilyn Farrell - Her and Kevin went to Louisiana to see her sister and their kids in Alexandria. Then they went to Baton Rouge to see her mother and father as well as an aunt that is in a rehab facility. Then they ended up at La'uberge Casino and had lots of fun.
