December 15th Club Meeting

Today our speaker was Ivan Mejia from ShredTex. Ivan spoke to us about shredding and data storage for business or personal information.

Club Announcements

1) Our next club meeting is not until January 5th.

2) January 15th is the District All Club Meeting.

3) The club netted a little over $12,000 at this year's Fundraiser.

Good News

1) Alan Brevard - He had a great time ringing the Salvation Army bell with his wife. He said if it wasn't for her they wouldn't have raised near the same amount of money.

2) Scott Sheppard - Enjoyed the Cy Ranch playoff game and they made it into the State Finals.

3) Mike Flowers - Mike will not be able to attend the Rotary Christmas party because he will be playing Santa. Mike has officially lost 75 pounds! Also, this marks the 5th year his wife has been cancer free. With that Mike donated $100 to the Rotary Foundation!

4) Virginia Carlton - Randy's surgery was pushed back a week and he is very appreciative of the support from Rotary.

5) Gwen Durrenberger - Gwen had a great time at the Rotary Lombardi Award Banquet. Gwen attended the Wreaths Across Texas event at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. They laid 48,500 wreaths.

6) Mike Reiland - Thank you Kevin for covering him being late to the Bell Ringing. Mike can relate to Mike Flowers about surviving breast cancer. Almost everyone in his family has had it.

7) Andrew Walker - His family went to San Antonio and spent time with their family and visited the Riverwalk.

8) Justin Jenkins - Enjoyed the Salvation Army Bell ringing again this year with the family and kids. While ringing a homeless gentlemen in a wheel-chair donated. Justin and his family decided to go buy him a backpack, sleeping bag and a bunch of supplies. He was a very happy and grateful. It was moving to see someone with so little give what little he had with a happy heart.
