June 3rd Club Meeting

Today our speakers were Toy Wood with the Greater Houston Builders Association and Peter Barnhart with Caldwell Properties.

Club Announcements

1) There will be a Rotary Board Meeting on Monday, June 17th at 11:15am before the regular meeting at Carl's.

2) Installation Dinner is next Thursday, June 13th at 7pm at Antonia's.

3) The club has already begun to receive donations for the fundraiser. It's never too early to get started.

4) We have an application for a new member, Kevin Smith.

5) The yearly fundraiser will be Saturday, November 16th.

Good News

1) Brandt Smith - a neighborhood issue that was causing a lot of stress has been resolved. Also, he got to attend a friend's citizenship party. Lastly, he got to go to Home Depot and put in a new garage door and troubleshoot all the problems including the wrong instructions.

2) Ray Young - Katelyn spent two weeks in Spain and has returned safely. Abby has received an internship with Plains All-American and it pays her $20/hr. Faith is getting on a bus to flyout to South Africa for a mission trip for 3 weeks.

3) John Shirley - his son is graduating High School this week. His daughter is at Baylor taking tests.

4) Charlie Durrenburger - they have rented out their rent house.

5) Keith Peterson - A piece of property he has in Fort Bend County sold on Saturday.

6) Marilyn Farrell - during Memorial weekend she spent the weekend at the lakehouse with family and made some good homemade Jambalaya. On the bad news side her cat of 17 years wandered away.
