I wanted to send a short email to quickly update you on my status here in London. This past weekend we had the Rotary Linkweekend event in Exeter, and it was such an incredible experience! We all learned quite a bit more about Rotarians and Rotary as a whole, and the entire weekend was just very inspiring! While in Exeter, not only was I able to meet with Amy and Samantha, but I also met with several scholars studying throughout the UK and Ireland. They all seemed like incredible people and I’m very much looking forward to getting to know them better as the year progresses.

I’m the middle of my first week of classes here at UCL, and I have really enjoyed the few classes I have taken thus far. We were recently put into project teams for one of my modules and within my group there are individuals from Hungary, Romania, Mexico, Greece, Hong Kong and the United States (for a total of 6 group members, each from a different country)! UCL really seems to be a global university, and I’ve really enjoyed getting a glimpse into the many cultures that are represented at the school!

I have attached a few pictures from this past weekend, which I hope you all will enjoy seeing. The first picture is of the District 5890 scholars in Exeter, and the second picture is me with my host family in Exeter. And lastly, thank you again for all the guidance you have provided over these last several months. I really cannot express enough how grateful I am for this incredible opportunity!
